Metamorfosi Catarsis

Catarsis is a project for a workshop lasted a week with the coral jewelry company De Simone.
The theme given by the company was "the modern amulet", because of the long tradition of this material with superstition.
I have decided to concentrate on the nature of this material which is directly related to these superstitions because coral can be considered to belong to plant,animal and mineral kingdom. It was this metamorphic nature to fascinate me the most.
I wanted to show the part of metamorphosis that represents the powerful act, the peak of the liberating effort, and for this reason the name is "catarsis". The broken coral reveals its various nature.
